Professor Hamman Tukur Saad has been a Professor of Architecture at the famous Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Nigeria since 1987. He became Vice-Chancellor at FUTA, Minna after a memorable academic career at ABU, his alma mater, spanning about three decades.
He is Ex-Resident Electoral Commissioner, INEC, Borno and Bauchi State, Nigeria.
He is the Chairman, IQSA Group Limited.
Professor Saad completed his doctoral studies at the University of Michigan in 1981. He was Visiting Professor at McGill University, Montreal, Canada from 1989-1990. Also in 1990 he was a Visiting Scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University, Cambridge, USA.
Professor Saad also went to University of Grenoble in 1986 to further his academic work. Between 1982 and 1993 he was Head, Department of Architecture; Acting Dean Faculty of Environmental Studies; Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Acting Vice-Chancellor at ABU Zaria. During his various leadership roles, he has demonstrated a great capacity for crisis management.
